Q: when thinking about impermanence, you spoke about not needing to feel negative about it (good things arise/ bad things cease as well as the other way around). Is there an equivalent for suffering? or are we just having to recognise that this is a wholly negative part of reality?

Thanks for a wonderful meditation! Hav to go to a meeting but see you all tomorrow :)

Q: Is there a way to do use this approach with past experience of pain/ suffering that you have been pushing away/ averting which results in more pain/ tension… as in can you incorporate the past back into your current experience to allow it to release ?

Q: how do we differentiate between unhealthy grasping and an energetic desire to move towards transformation and enlightement? i don’t think all desire is ‘bad’… is it?!

You said before the meditation "what we're trying to get away from.." isn't this a sense of again pushing something away. By trying not to engage in the whole push and pull narrative are we not by the very nature of the practice trying to 'pull' a better attitude to life towards ourselves...?

Thank you for a lovely meditation :)

Is the purpose of that meditation bhavana -- to cultivate a welcoming attitude, or is it insight -- to see how we constantly push and pull?
Stevan Cirkovic
01:17:49
That was nice. I felt as if I've been given permission to stop 'managing' my experience, maybe my life. Have a good day all, thanks Maitreyabandhu x

Q I don’t know whether you can offer any guidance? When I welcome welcome sensations my whole body becomes unbearably itchy. This also happens to me when I am concentrated

Q It feels a little like a metta meditation or upekka…is this correct?
Jenny Onyx

As I get really deeply into accepting all experiences, I feel loss of self and very sad, empty

But isnt this just A SUGGESTION from the Buddha a tool to see our experience through this myth or that myth. So isnt it also a question of faith in that Buddha knew what he was talking about. And we can try to use this tools or take these point of views into practice to see for ourselves

Thank you so much Guilhem and Maitreyabandhu. Such a privilege to experience these teachings and meditations. Sometimes my ‘pleasant feeling’ is the fact that I am able to sit at my age(!) for a length of time -something that I couldn’t do as well in my 30s when I started to meditate
