Still struggling with focusing and attention but focusing in something pleasure did help, Thanks a lot
Jus Marl

It came less easily than Mondays practice. I feel very calm and connected to the universe. I don't really want to come out of the meditation πŸ™

In the last stage I feel air coming in in a particular point but never really feel a point where its coming out. What can I do?
Stephanie Youmans
01:06:51
I'm new, my mind bounces around a lot but i feel calm and had to start again a few times with numbers but i did it. thank you so much everyone what a lovely union and experience xxxx
Phoebe Thomas
01:06:53
I was very focussed this time when usually I almost fall asleep in the mindfulness of breathing practice. I lost focus in the third stage but managed to bring awareness back into my body. So thanks for a lovely meditation :)
Lisa C
01:06:53
Q: I did not find anything pleasant when I looked for it. Your suggestion of the stillness of the hands was very helpful. Do you have any other suggestions?
Vanessa Mead
01:06:54
I felt a sense of calm, pleasure and light in the mind but harder to find a sense of pleasure in the body
niall
01:06:54
Have discovered that visualising the numbers, rather than 'speaking them' in my mind, feels more gentle and subtle...and seems to require more attention!
Caroline Hetherton
01:06:57
Thank you!
Sonia
01:06:59
Thanks a lot! It felt great. Sometimes my mind tends to gather many thoughts or things I have to do..but then I just go back to the breath to refocus. I also sometimes readjust if I feel pain or tension in the body. I feel great anyway trying to have no thoughts at all in my mind and overall very peaceful!! thanks so much xxxx
Ani
01:07:32
I found it extremely peaceful and calm. I'm starting to resonate with something you said yesterday, about genuinely finding more peace in the quiet mind rather than the chattering mind that tells stories. Today when I found myself 'chattering' I very quickly craved the quiet mind again and was able to take myself back to the calm place much easier. Thank you :)
erika
01:07:49
I experienced some pleasurable sensations and found that if i focused on the pleasantness, I would sort of "bliss out" and drift off away from my breath for a while
Ben Wylie
01:07:50
I found that when using my mind (brain) to feel my body I remain in the sensation of my mind (brain), when I use my body to feel my body I feel it all and have a broader awareness (hard to articulate)
Charlotte Reynolds
01:07:51
i find mindfulness of breathing much more difficult than metta :( i get so much more distracted and also don’t really understand how to know when to move to the next stage
Rachael Ross
01:08:06
The 2 tips were helpful too - focusing on pleasant experience. I have a number of really anxious making distractions going on in life and this session has really helped me see how - even with those problems - I can start to feel how I can really relax and calm the mind
iPod touch
01:08:08
we forget about feet and hands and rest of body away from chest and belly & then you get a greater sense of spaciousness from Monika

01:08:24
I'm finding having a regular time to practice each day is bringing ease to the process which I found really difficult to access before. I'm now physically and mentally more comfortable with just sitting and have begun to find the joy in it!
Lucie Lachnitova
01:08:32
I found that focusing on the pleasurable/ wellbeing experience really helped with dealing with a physical discomfort.
Chris Hemingway
01:08:44
I find staying with the counting in stage 1 easier than stage 2. I found softening my focus and widening my awareness when I get distracted rather than struggling to block the distraction out was helpful
Aoife’s iPad
01:08:56
I noticed an answer to a question coming up without me thinking about it. it just seemed to drift in.

Q: thank you for the meditation. if I have a migraine how can I focus on meditating?
Iwona Lokwenc

focusing on pleasant sensation helped otherwise i feel lots of pressure and the routine turns into goal oriented counting exercise
Jo King

A massive influence has been what you said previously about focus on calm not chattering mind to do with being a bit like a child try to distract you. But we can say this is not the time. Something like that anyway.
Kay Scoresby
01:09:31
I thought about my body as a mountain, my heart as the sea, breathing like the waves, and decided my head was a cloud, keeping my mind clear. thank you

I found it really helpful to visualise the breathe travelling throughout my body as if it was going on a journey and stopping along the way to try to fully experience what was going on in each part of the body.
Sam S
01:13:16
I found it hard to settle today, unlike my cat. I was quite fidgety I think because of some pain. But I did rest my hands and felt them go heavy. Thank you, I'm learning a lot fr

01:16:04
Thanks so much. I felt I managed to maintain a deep attention and my entire body was radiating warmth, which almost became too much! Getting warmer and warmer, especially my hands and feet, tingling. This was pleasurable until the heat became almost oppressive and I was amazed that this was happening. I also became aware of momentary tensions, especially in quite specific locations in my brain, as if I became aware of my brain as having little knots in specific places, which was quite strange, but somehow just accepting that and breathing into those places helped those sensations dissipate. Towards the end of the practice I had the image of my breathe as waves breaking on a beach, and an acceptance that not all breathe is the same, it shifts, some larger or stronger of lighter, skimming over pebbles and I focused on wondering about the moment of transition from push to pull, drag and surge, and the mystery of that rhythm.
