Question: I missed last week's session so the following was probably answered then, but was wondering if you could explain the purpose of mindfulness of breathing? The metta bhavna has a wonderful purpose, so I don't fully understand the purpose of mindfulness of breathing.

Q. Do you think it’s part of the process to have phases of regression in life where you loose your kindness and compassion to perhaps live through and connect with old anger or grief etc?
Kim Willis
01:18:37
Q: When you talked about ‘something reaching down into you’, is that bodhicitta? I listened to a talk by Sangharakshita this week on this and he described it in a similar way…as a kind of one-ness…
Caroline Wilson
01:21:02
Thank you so much for the lovely talk. I made lots of notes and it made a lot of sense. A beautiful meditation too. I'm going to go now, but looking forward to next week. x

how lovely that we can drop into the beautiful space of total unawareness and find it fascinating that we experience a form of what I call time slip you start meditation and what seems like only a moment the bell goes and wow it’s half an hour has gone. I am finding the more I meditate the more visual I become which is quite new form me as I have never been visual more a feeling of inner feelings is that because of the building of the practice

01:36:14
I love the image of a spiral ! That really speaks to me. Thank you! And mentioning that the meta occurs at the same time makes me understand meta a little more, thank you I’m very grateful to those answers

01:42:56
When Bodhicitta manifests you have reached the point of no return where your mind expands quickly
nic wilson
01:44:26
a brilinat metaphor of acorn - you are talking brilliantly about things impossible to explain!"
Suvarnantara
01:45:26
During meditation you can get glimpses of Bodhicitta but it is not stable progress. When you reached that point you almost become a different person
carolineangenieux
01:50:14
Q: so are we suppose to reflect during meditation or does it depends on the meditation?
Kerry Jolley
