Q - you talk about how we can look at perspectives/ thought processes that may not serve us, but shifting that and focussing on the positives. What about you don’t really feel positive after? Eg stress at work, etc

Q. I have been practicing for a while and I do notice my practice deepening. nevertheless, I find myself mentally proliferating more than half the times I have a seat. in your experience, how much practice does it take to get to a place where more than half the meditations are actually deep?

You could try the Pomodoro technique for procrastination.

Q: just a practical one - would it be possible to say which stage we are at as I can’t hear the bells...
I live in the Scottish Borders and cant get to LBC in London. You have been a lifeline to me through lockdown so heating that you are going to keep going with online events is wonderful!
I've just discovered this, and it's been a while since I've meditated. Just want to check that this is counting to 10, firstly before the breath and then after. And not the metta bhavana in this instance? Thanks.
Perhaps worth remembering not to make more suffering for ourselves. With procrastination we have the opportunity to take action when we realise it

Re: negative thoughts, its really good to give yourself compassion first (and place a hand on your heart) and say of course you're feeling like this. That helps process it/or do something about it.
Barbara, I think it's first after the breath and then before the breath :)
I love the "deepness" when it comes - that gets me back to my seat every day, just in case :)
I find more concentration when I’m with others - one reason why sangha is so important
